YMS Football Cheerleading is a non-competitive cheer season for 8^th grade students.  We cheer sidelines for home 8^th grade football games and perform during half time. During football cheer, we work on building the fundamentals of cheer skills (motions, jumps, crowd response, stunting, etc.).  The season runs from August to early October with games and regular practices.  Our main focus is building a good team connection, improving skills, serving in our community and having FUN! 

Athletes are required to pay a $65 athletic fee and are to abide by IESA rules for sportsmanship and staying eligible throughout the season.  Other costs for the season do apply. 

Any 7th grader interested in going out for Fall Football Cheerleading, Registration is on the YMS Athletics page. Registration closes June 7th. A current physical needs to be on file prior to the first practice on Aug. 6th.  All participants must also register for Summer Cheer Camp at YHS June 25-27.
