The Track & Field Team welcomes all YMS students to the sport. Interested students who attend practice and follow all team and school rules are accepted as members of the team. The coaches stress the importance of self-improvement. 

The Track & Field Team is a member of the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA), which allows the team to participate in the state series consisting of a sectional meet to qualify for the state meet. The schedule allows for smaller meets and larger invitational competitions during the season. This provides an opportunity for all levels of athletes to find success. It is a sport that truly has something for everyone.
